In 332.M42 Sector Lord Larion Ursus requested the Ghosts of Retribution send 20 Marines to be his Honour Guard for an unspecified amount of time. Chapter Master sent 18 Tactical Marines under the command of two particularly sociable marines, Lieutenant Cagirates and Sergeant Lusmer.
Over the resulting years the marines of the honour guard seemed to grow more and more loyal to Larion Ursus, possibly even moreso than their alliegence to the Chapter. The cause of this was revealed in 355.M41, when Lieutenant Cagirates escaped from the palace into the Hive Babelion Underhives and sent a distress beacon to the Chapter.
Once recovered, Cagirates revealed that the entire honour guard was under the influence of a coven of rogue witches, including Anastasia Belladon who was entrancing Sergeant Lusmer. Cagirates' witch was called Gabriella, and he was only freed from control after she was killed in an accident.
Most of the Honour Guard were killed during the Battle of the Sector Palace (359.M41). Of the 19 remaining marines 14 were killed, 4 were captured, and Sergeant Lusmer escaped along with Deidara Ursus and Anastasia Belladon.
The 4 captured members of the Honour Guard would later become Penitent Guard under Master of Sanctity Laptus.
